Today we visited friends in Suffolk for a catchup, BBQ and swim in the pool. The weather was superb and the BBQ lamb was cooked to perfection.
Besides being constantly baggered in the pool by the three children (E, T & L), I then had to (at the request of the youngest), bounce on the trampoline with them. It was very enjoyable although dangerous (with someone of my weight bouncing with children!).
George was a little unsettled today, although he did enjoy the other children's company. In fact, Claire has started to encourage him to walk by holding his hands and making him 'stand' and hold his own weight on his legs. We were surprised at his progress in just a few hours!!! More exercising for George to come .....

Monday 5th July 2010
Everyday our little 'bubba' causes enjoyment for us. Today was especially funny as I got home from a busy day at work, in time to put him to bed. So during my final preparation of getting him into bed, Claire and I were having a quick casual chat to catch up on our respective days experiences. George whilst in my arms, decided to lean across to block my view of Claire and gave a huge smile as to say, "I'm here Dad; talk to me!" This cracked us both up and he then giggled and started to lean in to my face with his mouth open - this is how he kisses loved ones.

07/06/10 - George's 1st birthday
So today is the special occasion of the year - George's birthday. Today I have taken the day off and we are going to Hunstanton for the afternoon.. Hopefully we shall enjoy some fish and chips and an ice-cream in the sun!? I will settle for fish and chips. ;-)
Yesterday we had a few people over for tea and birthday cake. This included GrandMa, GrandPa, Godfather's Matt & James, Godmummy Rosie, auntie's Becky & Tamsin, Cassie, Ruth, David, Oliver, Kelly, Gracie, Charlie, Nicole, Mike, Martin, Joan, Nathan, Charlotte, Fanella, Paul, Abbey, Sam and George's bestest friends, Flynn and Millie. Of course there was also mummy, Benson and myself.
11:30pm UPDATE
Our trip to Hunstanton was very enjoyable. GrandMa and GrandPa joined us all (including Benson) for the afternoon trip to the seaside. We had fish and chips,we had tea and coffee, we walked on the sand and paddled in the breaking north sea (even George got his feet wet), and eventually we had ice-cream (thanks GrandPa). Benson loved roaming on the beach and splashing in the water too. We were all shattered when we got home at 7pm. But all worth while.

02/06/10
George woke up hungry again this morning and was therefore tearful. He had a good sleep last night - went to bed at 7pm and woke at 6.45am. We noticed (at the weekend) 2 more teeth threatening to poke through.
He is going swimming today in Sawtry and auntie Tam is going to watch.

30/05/10 - The day after the wedding
What a wonderful day yesterday was. Although the weather was a little disappointing, nothing could dampen the mood and atmosphere of the wedding party.
The actual church ceremony was a nice service. With a duet performance from a couple of lovely ladies to an unceremonious burp from our son at the time the father of the groom was starting his scripture reading!
Other highlights of the wedding were the wedding party cars. There was an old Daimler, a Porsche, a few scooters and a couple of Bentley's ... of which the Arnage T was my favourite!

29/05/10 - Nicky & Jon's wedding
Today is the wedding day of my cousin Nicola. We affectionately refer to her as Nicky and she is my cousin on my Mum's side of the family; my mum is sister or her mum.
The wedding is in a little village in Buckinghamshire, just down the road from my aunt & uncle's house. The reception afterwards is in a marque on my aunt and uncle's estate.
I believe the couple met at uni. Jon's family incidentally reside in Cambridgeshire, not so far from us. I haven't met his family and am looking forward to seeing them all today. Jon came to our wedding with Nicky and I have met him a few times over the last few years. He and Nicky are an ideal suit.
