George for the first today, put his shoes on unaided.

Also I noticed Charlotte leaning over her bowl when eating, allowing excess to fall back on her plate/bowl. This might not seem a major achievement to most, but both Claire and myself can't remember George learning this until well into his 2's!!

We spent a small fortune on winter clothing for the pair of them today in Peterborough's Queensgate shopping centre (John Lewis). A pair of shoes was also bought for each of them. It was so tiring that George fell asleep on the way home (picture attached)

Halfway through our Center Parcs break, and G & L are loving the extra attention and activites. Although they both had another disturbed night last night, we managed to get up and get to the pool with mummy, daddy, grandpa and grandma before anyone else! So we had a swim before breakfast and then came back for dippy egg and bread triangles! After breakfast we had a play in our games room with daddy and grandpa, then we went to meet mummy, grandma, auntie Tam and uncle Howard who had been playing badminton. G has really enjoyed racing around on his scooter and has become really fast! More to come ...

Today we had the pleasure of visiting young Jake on his 1st birthday. G and L loved the 'party' and especially loved all the balloons and toys of Jakes. Godfather James and I entertained the children in the garden after a lovely spread of food was laid on by the hostess (Cass).

Thursday 20th September 2012

Bad night last night/this morning for 'Lotbag' (bless her). She had high temperature 39.6C and was shivering and very warm body temp. We gave neurofen and or calpol and she lay in our bed a while ... so we could monitor. Temp went down and she started to sleep and relax around 5:30am. C put her back in her cot and she slept through.

C put her back in her cot and she slept through.

Saturday 15th September

My parents have been visiting this weekend. My mum and I collected G from pre school at midday on Friday and he was happy and chatty with nan Jen on the walk home. L said the word 'bubbles' when asked who wanted bubbles in the bath on Saturday night. Daddy somehow joined G and L in the bath.

Tuesday 11th September

Today Claire took George to pre school. Again he shows that he is anxious to go. I collected him at midday with Granma and Grandpa (just back from trip to Canada). He was a little 'shy' for about 20 seconds. Then he gave big hugs and kisses. Whilst reading Noddy story to Lottie and saying the word balloon, she copied by saying "balloon". So cute

Friday 7th September 2012

Today I took GG to his second day of pre school. This was harder than Tuesday, with mummy practically pushing us out the door at 9am .. with GG crying intensely. He cried all the way there and again I had to 'duck out' whilst he was crying and being coersed by Marion (at pre school). Anyway picking him up at midday was satisfying. He was very chirpy and according to the staff, he had a good day. We are so proud of our little boy and we both expressed our feelings when he and I both arrived home yo be greeted by mummy at the door. GG was also hugged by his little sis, "Lot bag" as I affectionately call Lottie ... much to the wife's disgust! At pre school he had painted a couple of pictures which he brought home today.

Tuesday 4th September 2012

Today is GG's first 'proper' day at pre-school. Currently getting ready to take him ... fingers crossed. More to follow ... We received no call to collect GG early from pre-school today, so that was good news. Also he said when collected, "I have had a good day at pre-school mummy".
